Requirements

  • Robinhood account
  • Options trading enabled
  • Own 100+ shares of stock

    Step 1: Open Stock Page

  • Search for stock you own
  • Tap on the stock
  • Tap "Trade" button
  • Select "Trade Options"

    • Step 2: Select Strategy

  • Tap "Sell" at top
  • Robinhood shows "Covered Call" if you own shares

    • Step 3: Choose Option

  • Select expiration date
  • Choose strike price
  • Review premium

    • Step 4: Place Order

  • Set limit price
