Elanco Animal Health (NYSE: ELAN) reported third-quarter 2026 results before the open on Friday, November 6, 2026, and the stock moved higher in the cash session after a revenue and adjusted-EPS beat that the company said it was fully passing through into a higher full-year outlook. Shares closed Thursday, November 5, at $23.68. Public.com showed a premarket print near $24.15 early Friday, and the cash tape later traded near $24.58, about $0.90 or 3.8% above Thursday's close. The company hosts its webcast at 8:00 AM ET.

Nine Percent Organic Growth Led by Pet Health

Elanco's PR Newswire release put third-quarter revenue at $1.265 billion, up 11% year over year on a reported basis and 9% on an organic constant-currency basis. Pet Health revenue was $608 million, up 14%, with price contributing 5% and volume 9%, led by Zenrelia and Credelio Quattro. Farm Animal revenue was $631 million, up 6% reported and 4% organic constant currency, with cattle the standout at $339 million. Credelio Quattro became Elanco's largest U.S. Pet Health branded product, surpassing Seresto, and Zenrelia posted its largest revenue quarter in both the U.S. and international markets.

Investing.com put Street consensus near $1.21 billion of revenue and $0.21 of adjusted EPS, so the print cleared both bars. Reported net income was $18 million, or $0.04 per diluted share, versus a year-earlier net loss of $34 million, or $0.07. On an adjusted basis, net income was $136 million and adjusted EPS was $0.27, up 42% from $0.19 a year earlier.

Margins Widen as Leverage Hits the Milestone

Adjusted EBITDA was $243 million, up 23% from $198 million, and Adjusted EBITDA margin expanded to 19.5% from 17.5%. Adjusted gross margin rose 300 basis points to 56.1%, which the company said was ahead of its own expectations on stronger pricing and a favorable mix from U.S. Pet Health and global ruminants. Operating expenses still rose 12% as Elanco funded commercial launches, so the margin story is not a cost-cut print; it is a mix-and-price print that left room to keep investing.

Net leverage ended the quarter at 2.9x Adjusted EBITDA, a 0.7x improvement from year-end 2025 and the milestone management flagged as unlocking faster capital-allocation flexibility. Cash from operations was $216 million in the quarter. That leverage print matters for options traders reading the capital-return path: once a levered animal-health name reaches a self-declared target early, the next debate often shifts from de-levering to buybacks, M&A, or dividend capacity rather than from survival to stability.

Full-Year Ranges Move Up Across the Board

Elanco raised full-year 2026 guidance across the three lines options traders usually watch. Revenue guidance moved to $5.155 billion to $5.18 billion from $5.090 billion to $5.140 billion. Adjusted EBITDA guidance moved to $1.05 billion to $1.065 billion from $1.010 billion to $1.035 billion. Adjusted EPS guidance moved to $1.17 to $1.20 from $1.10 to $1.16. The company also lifted its innovation-revenue target to $1.275 billion and said organic constant-currency revenue growth should land near 8%, versus a prior 6% to 7% view.

Fourth-quarter guidance calls for revenue of $1.190 billion to $1.215 billion, Adjusted EBITDA of $185 million to $200 million, and adjusted EPS of $0.16 to $0.19. Management also restated a 2027 algorithm of mid-single-digit organic constant-currency revenue growth, high-single-digit Adjusted EBITDA growth, and low-double-digit Adjusted EPS growth. Credelio Quattro received a positive opinion from the European Medicines Agency for an EU expansion targeted for a first-quarter 2027 launch, which is a dated product catalyst sitting beyond the November options window.

Four Percent Cash Inside an Eleven-Percent Monthly Band

ELAN has no weekly listed expiries into this report. OptionSlam tracked an 11.53% implied move on the November 20 monthly straddle into the print, with a $2.73 straddle marked against Thursday's $23.68 close. That puts the approximate break-evens near $20.95 and $26.41. A cash print near $24.58 is only about 3.8% above the prior close, deep inside that monthly band and well short of the upper break-even.

Delayed Cboe quotes after the open showed the November 20 $24 straddle near $2.00 at midpoints once the stock was already trading in the mid-$24s, with the Cboe 30-day IV index near 51.4 after an about 9% decline from the prior reading. That pattern is the usual post-event shape: the stock clears the Street and raises guidance, the cash move stays inside the priced monthly range, and the remaining time premium on the event window starts to compress. Long November straddles that needed a double-digit gap have not been paid by the stock leg so far; short straddles and iron condors that sold the monthly move remain inside their priced envelope, before spreads and assignment risk.
